  1. We don't shop at Walmart very often. Their produce always looks really bad!

  2. That's a scary chart. Glad I don't go there often, but in a small town, sometimes that's my only option in a pinch.

  3. I'm not a big Wall-Mart shopper. Product & meat are terrible! Got to wonder where it comes from! Plus the prices are not all that cheap when you consider what you are buying! I stay away from Walgreens too!

  4. The thing I hate most about Wal-Mart is that they put so many local stores out of business everywhere they go. I would rather support my neighbors. In this town alone, I know we have locally owned hardware, corner grocer, furniture, gas, plant nursery, etc. So many more before Wal-Mart though. In fact, since Wal-Mart came here, I have personally seen a neighboring town's public square go from bustling to nearly empty. Everyone drives to Wal-Mart.

  5. I do not think that "disposable pricing" has impact on commodity trends whatsoever. It is too many individuals' choice to dispose and replace. I love walmart for the grocery prices but like others cannot buy their meat or much of the produce. I do not buy much else in stores because rummage sales are the way to shop!
