Today's Challenge: What laundry tips can you share?

I only have one laundry tip to share: use soap nuts. I gave up on laundry detergents when I discovered soap nuts. They last a long time, are inexpensive (per load price compared to detergent), and can be re-used to make  an all-purpose household cleaner after they have been used in the laundry.
